People leave the city for the same handful of reasons: more room, a school district, a shorter commute than the one they expected, or a closing date that finally arrived. A house with a driveway and a front door is a straightforward delivery. What changes it is stairs to a third floor, a narrow turn on a staircase, a long carry from the street in a townhouse development, or an apartment building in Hoboken or Jersey City that has its own elevator rules and looks a lot more like New York than like the suburbs. Leaving a New York lease on the last day of the month and closing on a New Jersey house two weeks later is the normal case, not the exception. Our Rahway warehouse holds inventoried, vaulted storage in between, so your things come out of the city once, sit with us, and go into the new place once. It avoids paying for two moves and a self-storage unit you have to load yourself.
