Closing dates almost never line up
The gap between selling one home and taking keys to the next is the single most common reason New Jersey families need storage. A buyer's financing slips a week. A seller asks for a rent-back. A co-op board meets on the wrong Tuesday. None of it is unusual, and none of it should force you into a rushed double move.
The version that works: we pack and load your whole house on your move-out date, it goes into our own warehouse in Rahway, and it comes back out on the day your new place is actually ready. One crew, one inventory, one company holding the goods the entire time.
Vaulted storage, not a rented unit
Your belongings are loaded into sealed wooden vaults inside our warehouse — not stacked in an open bay, and not left in a self-storage unit you have to meet a truck at. Each vault is inventoried and stays closed until we redeliver it.
That matters most for the things a between-closings move tends to involve: full bedroom sets, dining tables, upholstered furniture, artwork and mirrors that would otherwise sit exposed for weeks.
The same crews on both ends
Because we load it, store it and redeliver it ourselves, nobody hands your shipment to a third party in the middle. The crew that wrapped your dresser is the operation that brings it back. If something needs to be disassembled going in, we know how it goes back together coming out.
What to have ready when you call
Three things let us give you an accurate number quickly: the size of the home, your move-out date, and your best guess at the delivery window. If the second date is still unknown, that is fine and very normal — most between-closings moves start with an open end date and firm up later.
Also flag anything specialty early: a piano, a safe, fine art, a wine collection, oversized glass. Those need crating decided before load day, not on it.
Packing is usually worth it here
A between-closings move handles everything twice — once into storage and once back out. Professionally packed cartons are built for that; a box packed loose at 11pm the night before is not. Most families who have done both will tell you the packing line was the part they would not skip again.
