CDL Driver / Mover (Class A or B)

Our top driving seat. You run tractor-trailer and large straight-truck work — local, regional and long-distance household goods — and you lead the crew on the job.

The job

What you will do

Operate a tractor-trailer or large straight truck on local, interstate and long-distance moves
Run household goods loads: pad-wrap, decking, tiering, load planning and weight distribution
Complete DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate ELD records
Lead the crew on site — sequence the job, brief the helpers, own the outcome
Manage the bill of lading, inventory, weight tickets and customer signature
Multi-day interstate trips when the schedule calls for them

Pay

$25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Full-time, W-2

Benefits and other compensation

Year-round work, not seasonal. Overtime paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40 in a week. Paid training on our equipment and procedures. Advancement from Helper to Driver to Crew Lead is how most of our crew leads got the job.

Requirements

What you need

Valid Class A or Class B CDL
Current DOT medical certification
Clean MVR and a verifiable safe-driving history
21 or older
Able to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing and enrolled-eligible in the Clearinghouse
Able to load and unload alongside the crew — this is a working driver seat

Helpful

What helps

Household goods or van line experience
Air brake and combination endorsements
Long-distance and OTR experience
Prior crew leadership
